Russian Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov met with president of the International Sugar Corporation Petr Panteleev. They discussed the prospects for the development sugar industry in Russia in particular the construction of 6 new sugar factories in different regions of Russian Federation as part of the government program “Development Strategy of food and processing industry” as well as the issues of the ministry’s support in project implementation.
International in its turn, has already held preliminary talks with BMA AG which resulted in an agreement on providing by this German company the required technical date for producing high-feel beet-sugar equipment in Russia. The management of BMA AG is sending a group of specialists to Russia to evaluate the condition of engineering plants and it will attract other leading European producers of sugar equipment to participation in the consortium.
Let us recall that International Sugar Corporation preferred the Rostov Region as a territorial base for start-up implementation of the construction of the sugar factory with the refinery capacity of 12 000 tons of beet and productivity of 1 700 tons of sugar per day, besides formation auxiliary departments on it, specialized in packaging production and advanced processing of beet syrup.
